Innovative 3-credit Multi-Disciplinary Distance-Learning Class
This new Web-disseminated course, offering both real-time and post-presentation
video access, will provide a state-of-the-art introduction to the complex
challenge of life support for astronauts working in space (i.e., during
lunar, Mars, etc. missions) covering the following interdisciplinary aspects:
The faculty and guest lectueres contributing to this course will all
be involved with NASA's advanced life support research mission and ready
to help you learn about their work.
Registration: Purdue registration options include CE597r
and GRAD500
Schedule: Tues & Thurs 2:30-3:45PM
Prerequisites: Undergraduates and graduates with curiosity
and enthusiasm about space travel and NASA's mission!!
Format: Live plus Web-based distance-taught classes
Speakers: Faculty affiliated with NASA's NSCORT research
center at Purdue, Howard, and Alabama A&M Universities, plus NASA personnel
